A duo of adorable charms. Luminous labradorite and a delicately stamped leaf charm hang on an oxidized chain, finished with a touch of gold. Good things do come in small packages. Chain measures 17-18” with lobster clasp and adjustable length chain closure. Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish and 14k gold fill.
About labradorite: Labradorite is truly a fascinatingly beautiful mineral. It’s a mineral whose charm is not fully noticed and may be overlooked if not viewed from the proper position. When the light hits this plain gray stone, flashes of blue, yellow, and green, called labradorescence are revealed. Labradorite was first found in 1770 on the Labrador Peninsula in Canada. It is also found in Norway and the former USSR. Legend says that Labradorite is a power stone, allowing you to see through illusions and determine the actual form of your dreams and goals. Sounds good to me!
About 14k gold fill: 14K gold-filled wire is a professional jewelers grade wire. Gold-filled wire is not plated. It is a tube of solid 14K gold mechanically bonded to a brass or silver base. There is 100 times more gold in gold filled than in gold plate wire. This layer of gold must be a minimum of 1/20th of the total metal weight to be called gold-filled. The color looks exactly like 14k gold. It is tarnish-resistant, safe for sensitive skin, and unlike gold plate, it will not wear off. It is a great way to enjoy affordable gold jewelry.
