Rustic and feminine. The stone is strawberry quartz in the prettiest shade of darling pink. The hand-stamped silver features a leaf cascade, inspired by the Navajo word “hishi”. Hishi was a tradition within the Navajo tribe of awarding one with a feather of honor to add to their headdress. It showed others of their bravery. Measure 2″. Handmade Shepherd hook ear-wires. Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish.
About Strawberry Quartz: Originally known as “scarlet quartz”, this stone is found in only a few mines around the world. The formation of Strawberry Quartz takes place in granitic pegmatites. It contains microscopic hair-like or tabular red crystals of hematite. Legend has it Strawberry Quartz was brought by the god Eros to bring love to people on earth. It is believed Strawberry Quartz can be very soothing and has the ability to amplify intentions of love and appreciation.
