La Cloche Amethyst Earrings by Sarah Deangelo

La Cloche Amethyst Earrings

$38.00

Cloche is French for ‘bell’. Sweet amethyst stones are pinned with a handmade bell-like bail. The perfect little pop of color. Measures 1″. Handmade Shepherd hook ear-wires. Sterling silver, which has been oxidized and hand polished for an antique finish.

About Amethyst:  Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz. The name comes from the Ancient Greek “methustos” (“intoxicated”), a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness; the ancient Greeks and Romans wore amethyst and made drinking vessels of it in the belief that it would prevent intoxication.
